The General section is an important place for configuring some global values that will affect most elements of your website on a site-wide basis.

  1. RTL (Right to Left): enable this setting for languages that are read from right to left, ensuring your website is accessible and user-friendly for a global audience.
  2. Scroll Top Button: activate a button that allows users to quickly scroll back to the top of the page, improving navigation and user experience on long pages.
  3. Color Switcher: turn on a feature that allows users to switch between light and dark color schemes, providing a customizable experience for different preferences or accessibility needs.
  4. Default Color Scheme: choose the default color scheme for your website, which can be set to either a light or dark mode, influencing the overall aesthetic and readability of your content.
  5. Container Width: set the maximum width for the main content container, which affects how content is laid out and is crucial for design coherence across different screen sizes.
Note! The container width setting only applies where this container is directly used, specifically in certain widgets, in the global template parts (navigation/footer), etc. But in terms of content built through Elementor, you need to change the layout width additionally. You can do this as follows.
