If your site has any images in Media before installing the demo import, you should regenerate the thumbnails for them, as our theme provides about 15 different image sizes. To do this, install the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
After that go to Tools -> Regenerate Thumbnails and click Regenerate Thumbnails For All.
