Content Migration

Home Docs Fabula Installation Content Migration

If you installed our theme on a fresh WordPress setup, feel free to skip this article. However, if you’re applying our theme to an existing site with posts, pages, or third-party functionalities, please review the following points to ensure a smooth transition:

  • Existing posts should integrate smoothly with the new features and design provided by our theme if they were created using the Classic/Block Editor or a page builder. Note that the page builder should have been used solely for content within posts, not to structure an entire single post layout.
  • Internal pages and custom post types (CPTs) from your previous site should display well within the layouts our theme provides. However, note that CPTs created by your previous theme won’t transfer when you activate ours. Additionally, content on our pages is displayed in pre-styled containers, so an exact one-to-one transfer of previous design sections may not be possible.
  • All default taxonomies, authors, and products (if you used WooCommerce) will carry over smoothly and naturally.
  • Third-party functionality. We are not responsible for any third-party functionalities previously implemented on your site before or after switching to our theme. We recommend reviewing this article for a more detailed understanding of these aspects.
Recommendations Before Switching to Our Theme:

Disable any third-party plugins during the theme switch and while installing all required plugins and demo content. If disabling all plugins isn’t feasible, at least deactivate those responsible for caching and website optimization. Ensure you have a backup of your website and carefully follow each step in our documentation. After successfully installing the theme, gradually re-enable your previous plugins, keeping in mind the guidelines outlined in this article.
