Incompatible Archive

Home Docs Pravda Troubleshooting Incompatible Archive

If you encounter the “Incompatible Archive” error during theme installation – even though you’re confident the archive itself is correct – here are the most common reasons and their quick solutions:

  • Incorrect File Upload. Ensure you’re uploading the correct, installable theme ZIP (pravda.zip). Do not upload the entire ThemeForest package, which includes documentation, licenses, etc.
  • Hosting Upload Limits. Your hosting provider may have a restricted upload limit. Increase the PHP upload limits in your hosting control panel (upload_max_filesize, post_max_size), or ask your hosting support to do it for you.
  • Temporary Server Issue. Occasionally, server hiccups or timeouts may cause this error. Try uploading the theme again after a few minutes.
  • Recommended Alternative. Upload your theme manually via FTP. Extract the theme ZIP file and upload the resulting folder to wp-content/themes/.
