Home Docs Pravda Troubleshooting Changes are not Reflected

If you’ve made changes to your WordPress site but don’t see them reflected when viewing the frontend, the most common cause is related to caching. Here’s what you should check:

  • Browser Cache. Browsers often cache website content to load pages faster. Try performing a hard refresh by pressing:
    • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R
    • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
    • Alternatively, clear your browser’s cache manually through its settings.
  • Plugin Cache. Caching plugins (e.g., WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache) temporarily store website data to speed up loading.
    • Clear the cache through your caching plugin’s settings.
    • Temporarily disable your caching plugin to check if it’s causing issues.
  • Server-Side Cache. Some hosting providers (e.g., Kinsta, SiteGround, WP Engine) use built-in caching. So log into your hosting dashboard and clear any built-in server cache or request your hosting provider’s assistance.
  • CDN Cache. If you’re using a Content Delivery Network (CDN) like Cloudflare, your content may be cached externally. Purge the CDN cache from your CDN provider’s control panel.
  • Ensure Changes Are Properly Saved. Double-check that your edits were saved correctly in the WordPress dashboard and published (not in draft or preview mode).
